Connectionz — Privacy Policy

Connectionz is a live video app for the Connectionz community. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. We do not sell your personal data.

1. Information we collect

Account (via Sign in with Google): your name, email address, and profile photo.
Profile you provide: bio, gender, major/class year, and any social handles you add.
Connections & messages: who you mutually connect with, and the text messages you send to connections (stored so your chat history persists).
Safety data: reports and blocks you submit or receive, and automated moderation flags.
Technical: basic connection data needed to route video and operate the service.

2. Live video & what we do NOT store

Live video and audio are streamed peer-to-peer and are not recorded or stored by us. Text typed during a random video session is ephemeral and not saved. Automated moderation analyzes video frames on your device in real time to detect explicit content; these frames are not uploaded or retained.

3. How we use information

To create your account and match you with other users per your preferences.
To enable connections, persistent chat, and revealing socials only to mutual connections.
To keep the community safe — moderation, reviewing reports, and removing violators.

4. Sharing

Your name, photo, and the socials you choose to add are shown to people you connect with. We share data with service providers that host the app and authenticate sign-in (e.g., Google), and when required by law. We never sell your data.

5. Your choices & rights

You can edit your profile anytime, block users, and request account and data deletion by emailing support@connectionz.xyz. We will delete your account data promptly upon request.

6. Age requirement

Connectionz is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; such accounts are removed on discovery.
